This is just part of the ongoing thought that your digital representation as it exists on the internet could be some sort of trail of energy through time.

I think the idea here was that reincarnation may in some way parallel re imaging of a computer in that the "mind" or programming gets re-applied to a physical host in the beginning of its existence in this particular instance.
