Life development and technology evolution

According to NDT as seen here:
Life clock should have started at the end of the heavy bombardment stage @ 4.9 billion yrs ago
Life discovered @ 4.7 billion years ago
Difference of 200 million, meaning it took 200 million to develop simple detectable life.

Has the development of complex organisms followed an exponential rate of evolution since then mimicking technological evolution?
