Star system development thoughts.

Post by MotRod »

I've had a theory (or just thought really) in my head for a long time I just want to get on paper.

Ever since I learned about accretion and how that process is how our star system developed.

After a short time with that understanding, I speculated that this process would be the basis for most/all star systems.
The assumption being that many star systems, with the same nebular gas ingredients would develop in very similar ways creating very similar distribution of planets.
i.e, the types of planets we have in our system, with our size star, would develop to be similar in size and composition as in our star system.

small hot planet close, habitable planet middle, bigger planets just after and far icy planets out on the rim.

All speculation from rudimentary understanding of how the process works, but it would make sense to me to see that pattern.
